For my parody song, I made a parody of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift. My parody highlights the struggles of being a high school student during Covid-19. When we were first asked to do this project, I struggled to find inspiration. School has been very overwhelming this year, and I decided that writing about our current situation in a comedic way would work well! I loved learning how to remove vocals from a song in Pro Tools, and I think it will be a useful tool for later projects. It was very interesting to learn more about splitting a stereo track into two mono tracks and what that can do to your song. I became more confident from this project because I am not a good singer, but in a parody, bad singing only adds to the humor of your project so my bad vocals made this song even better. If I could change anything about my project, I would add less reverb on my voice because I think I made the reverb a little too wet. However, besides that, I am very proud of my work.
